Celebrating 10 years of The Dell Centre
Ten years on from its opening, the Dell Centre stands as a remarkable testament to vision, perseverance and the generosity of our church family. The project began when it became clear that the old St Giles’ Hall — already more than 40 years old — could no longer meet the needs of a growing and active parish. A major fundraising effort followed, supported by extraordinary bequests and the commitment of the Dell Project team, who worked tirelessly to turn early sketches and hopes into a building that truly served its purpose.
Today, the Dell Centre is everything that was envisioned and more: a bright, modern and welcoming space with airy rooms, excellent accessibility and facilities that serve both church and community life. Each room offers up‑to‑date AV support and free Wi‑Fi, helping groups and ministries to meet and grow. Visitors appreciate the free parking, the well‑equipped kitchen, and the dedicated prayer room and garden — a beautiful place for stillness and reflection.
A decade later, the Dell Centre continues to fulfil the vision that inspired its creation: a place where people can gather, grow and serve together, right at the heart of Ashtead.
