Celebrating Community Connections at the Summertime Social

The Evergreen Summertime Social was held over three days from 11th – 13th August at St George’s church, was a great success, welcoming more than 70 local elderly people for days filled with laughter, friendship and entertainment.
From comedy and local history to live music, opera and a delicious lunch, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Events like these play an important role in reducing loneliness and bringing people together, and we extend our sincere thanks to Jacqui Dawson and her dedicated team of volunteers whose hard work, kindness and enthusiasm made these wonderful days possible. Their efforts continue to bring happiness, companionship and a real sense of community to so many.
