Finding Peace on National Stress Awareness Day

Wednesday, 5 November marks National Stress Awareness Day—a timely reminder to pause and reflect on the pressures we carry. In a world that often feels overwhelming, it's comforting to know we’re not alone in our struggles. Scripture offers us many powerful antidotes to anxiety: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Philippians 4:6)

This verse invites us to trade worry for prayer, and fear for faith. God doesn’t promise a life free from stress, but He does promise His peace when we turn to Him. As we mark this day, let’s encourage one another to lean into prayer, share our burdens and rest in the assurance that God hears us.

Take a breath. Say a prayer. Let peace begin there.
