Ashtead Youth Choir Taster Session

Children and young people aged 7-18 are invited to join Ashtead Youth Choir on Tuesday 17 September at 5.45 (for 1 hour) for its annual open evening. The session will include fun vocal warm-ups, musical games and learning new songs in a range of musical styles.

Suitable for those who love singing and would like to come as a one-off, or for those interested in joining the choir longer term. It is a warm and welcoming group, with a programme for young leaders aged 13+ (which fulfils the volunteering criteria for anyone undertaking the Duke of Edinburgh award).

It's musical director, Esther Jones, is a professional conductor specialising in choral music and education, and is an Associate Conductor of the National Youth Choir.
