WhatsApp’ening in Ashtead Parish

WhatsApp Channels, are a private way for you to receive important updates from whoever you choose with an easy and quick message to your mobile phone. It’s a one way broadcast tool which enables us to post text, photos, videos and polls when they matter.

Channels are separate from your chats – found in the ‘Updates’ tab; and those you choose to follow are not visible to your contacts.

Keeping privacy in mind the WhatsApp Channel protects the information of both admins (us) and followers (you) by not revealing any phone numbers. As a follower you can also choose to silence any notifications and simply visit the channel to view updates, preventing those constant ‘bleeps’ from your phone. And the messages will disappear after 30 days to avoid an endless scroll.

To find us visit our news page here on your mobile device. Click on ‘Follow the SGSG Happening Channel on WhatsApp’ button. If you have the latest WhatsApp app installed it will connect automatically to the updates section of WhatsApp or will direct you to install it on to your device. Once installed and logged in, you can keep an eye on What’s Happening here at SGSG Ashtead by clicking on the ‘Updates’ Tab and choosing our channel.
