Pausing for Thought

Last January, we changed our service pattern and Sunday night youth work provision. This has brought clear benefits, especially for the St George’s morning congregations and our younger youth. However, we are mindful that a missing element is an evening service shaped more intentionally around older youth and young adults, for whom this is very much our ‘shop window’ service.

The Six will remain a service for everyone – its intergenerational character is a precious feature of the congregation! However, we will be meeting our young people in July to discern how we can adapt it to attract and engage more of their age group. We also have a special summer programme for them HERE.

We will report back next month on what we have planned, including investing in our worship provision at this service. We’ll then use the pause in August to prepare for and implement these changes, ready for restarting on September 6.
