A Fashionable Success!
Our regular women’s group, Oasis, hosted a fundraising evening for charity Be Me Project to great success. With the event, held at St George’s Church, fully sold out, over 100 women of all ages enjoyed a talk by a fashion and colour consultant before hearing a panel discussion on identity, led by Be Me Project team members. All fuelled by delicious homemade cakes!
It was wonderful to have so many women all together, and thanks to the many Church members (including the only man allowed, Richard Wadey!) for their help and support in running the event.
Ticket sales generated more than £800 in funds for the charity, which was topped up by a merchandise sale on the night.
Be Me Project supports young people and adults with their mental wellbeing by improving confidence, self-esteem and positivity through school and community courses. Topics focus on identity, truth and purpose.
