A Festival to Remember

This Christmas, we’re inviting our community to rediscover the heart of the season through the Nativity Crib Festival—a celebration of creativity, community, and the story of Jesus’ birth.

Many of you will remember that a few years ago we held a bi-annual Christmas Tree Festival in St George’s Church. Both church and community groups, including schools, were encouraged to decorate a Christmas tree for display in the Church over the festive period. These festivals were very successful with lots of new faces coming through our doors to see the displays in all their glory. This year we are excited to bring a new festive tradition to life!

Inspired by a visit last Christmas to St Nicolas Church in Cranleigh, Robert and Liz with the help of a wonderful team, are inviting local groups, schools, clubs, and individuals to create and display their own Nativity Crib Scene. Whether it’s a treasured family set or a brand-new creation, we’d love to see your interpretation of the nativity story.

Get Creative

Your crib scene can be made from any material—wood, fabric, Lego, wool, metal, cardboard, embroidery, or anything else you can imagine. Big or small, traditional or quirky—if it fits through the church door, it’s welcome!

All Are Welcome!

The festival will be open to the public from 10th to 13th December. There’s no entry fee for participants or visitors. Come and enjoy a beautiful display of creativity, community, and Christmas spirit.
