Besom Christmas Hampers: A Practical Way to Show Love
For many, Christmas is a season of joy. But for some, it’s a time of stress, worry and not enough to go around. That’s where we, as a church family, can step in with compassion and generosity.
Our mission partner, Besom, works year-round to support local people in need—those who’ve been re-housed after crisis, single parents starting over, or individuals facing hardship. This year, thanks to the kindness of local Christians, Besom has helped furnish homes and restore dignity. Now, as Christmas approaches, we have another opportunity to bless others: by donating a Christmas hamper.
A hamper filled with thoughtful food and gifts can bring unexpected joy and hope to someone who needs it most. Whether it’s a box of festive treats, warm socks, or a small gift tailored to a specific family, your contribution can make a real difference.
Hampers should be dropped off at The Dell Centre, St Giles Church Drive, Ashtead:
Wednesday 3rd December, 9am–12pm
Thursday 4th December, 1pm–4pm
For more information, including ideas on what to put in your hamper, please get in touch with Linda at besomashtead.hampers@gmail.com or Janet at plevinsohn@hotmail.com.
You can also give financially to support the appeal. BACs transfer details can be found below:
