Happiness Happens
“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24
August brings us a gentle nudge to celebrate joy in all its forms as Happiness Happens Month. It’s a time to pause, reflect, and remember that happiness doesn't always come in grand gestures—it often hides in the laughter shared over tea, a kind smile exchanged on the street, or a heartfelt prayer whispered in peace.
On Friday, 8 August, we mark Happiness Day—a special moment within the month dedicated to sharing the joy that God has placed in our hearts. Psalm 118:24 reminds us that each day is a divine gift. And when we choose to rejoice, we not only honour that gift—we pass it on.
Let’s use this as a reminder to:
Visit someone who may feel lonely.
Share words of encouragement.
Offer a helping hand to those in need.
Simply smile more—it’s an act of kindness that costs nothing but can brighten someone’s whole day.
Happiness, like faith, is contagious. When we embody joy, rooted in the love and grace of Christ, we become beacons of hope in our community.
