World Mission: How Our Giving Is Making a Difference

Our church supports and partners with a number of organisations to serve others locally, nationally and globally. 10% of our annual freewill donations are given to our chosen charities - full details can be found on the Mission page of our website HERE.

The World Mission Team arranges the church’s regular support, and from time to time it also makes one-off donations to specific projects. During 2025, the team was asked by Wheels for the World (Through the Roof) and YAWOSUP to consider supporting them in this way.

£2,000 was given to Through the Roof’s Wheels for the World programme to fund solar-powered Audio Bibles in Mozambique.  The following report is from Tim Wood, CEO of Through The Roof.

“Illiteracy rates are particularly high in Mozambique, as many people in rural areas don't have an opportunity to go to school.  This is particularly true for someone with a disability. They can also be excluded from church due to the difficulty getting there and the shame associated with their disability. Many heart languages (local dialects) are oral languages, so this makes an audio Bible a particularly important tool for sharing the Gospel with people. Many districts don't have electricity, so it is a blessing that the Bibles are solar-powered.  We pray that this will continue and that people will hear the truth of the Bible through these audio Bibles.”

£2200 was given to YAWOSUP to fund the construction of a new kitchen at The Barbara Leighton Comprehensive School, to provide for the school's expanding Feeding Programme, and £2800 funded pastor training in Kenya for Lead Nations Church, a new initiative of Edward Wata, also YAWOSUP’s Director, as he develops a new network of churches.

These gifts reflect our ongoing commitment to support partners who are serving their communities with compassion, practical help and the message of God’s love. We are grateful for the generosity of our church family, which enables us to stand alongside organisations working faithfully across the world. Thank you for continuing to support our World Mission ministry.
