Here I Am – Black History Month Exhibition

To mark Black History Month, the Diocese of Guildford has launched Here I Am, a compelling portrait exhibition celebrating Black leaders within the church and inspiring future generations.

Led by Umair Asif, the Diocese’s Racial Diversity Enabler, the exhibition features clergy including Revd Dr Moni Babatunde, Revd Dr Oluwapelumi Adeyemi, and Revd Janet Williams, alongside Beauty Adeson from Church House. Each portrait is displayed on large canvases with QR codes linking to interviews that explore their journeys to ordination, experiences of imposter syndrome and reflections on diversity in ministry.
