1)      We all have weaknesses alongside our strengths. Share a situation in which you have felt lacking in confidence or ability. Did God help you in any way?

Read Exodus 4:1-17

2)      Remind yourself of the calling Moses had received in the previous chapter. What was scary about it?

3)      What does Moses’ initial anxiety in v1 of our passage relate to? How does God respond and how would that help Moses?

4)      What is Moses’ second concern (v10)? How does God respond (vs 11-12)?

5)      What experience have you have had of God helping in this way?

6)      What is Moses’ third objection or concern (v13)? How does God respond to this? What experience have you got of God helping you in that sort of way?

Read Mark 2:1-12

7)      This passage connects our theme with the video on disability. What do we learn about how others can help us in areas of weakness or need? What did the video teach you?

8)      How does the ‘sign’ Jesus performs relate to the signs God gets Moses to perform?

9)      Moving beyond disability or lack of eloquence, what does Jesus tell us in our greatest need? What can give you confidence that this need can be met?

10)  How as a group can you support each other in areas of need, weakness or anxiety? Identify those situations and pray for them.
