1) We all enjoy good food! Share a story of one memorable meal that you have never forgotten. Why was it so special?

Read Exodus 16:1-18 2)

What struck you most from the sermon you heard on Sunday? Make a note of those things, so you can discuss them later in the study.

3) Do you have sympathy with the feelings of the Israelites at the start of this passage? If so, why?

4) But what is the problem with grumbling? How is it spiritually damaging? What tips can you share on how to avoid it?!

5) What did Moses and the Israelites learn from this whole experience? As people in a very different time and context, what spiritual lessons can we learn?

6) What effect do you think seeing the glory of the Lord would have had on the Israelites (v10)? What might ‘seeing the glory of the Lord’ mean for us?

7) What principle lay behind the instruction in v16? How would you apply that principle to your own life?

8) Go back to the things that struck you from the sermon (Q2). Discuss those of most interest.

9) In what areas do we as individuals and as a church need to trust more in God’s provision?

10) What should you pray for, in the light of this study? Pray for these things.
