Finding God Between the Pages

The Reading Room - What is it? Where is it? Is it just another book group?

The Reading Room is a little different from a traditional book group. Our focus is on reading contemporary fiction (although we have enjoyed the occasional biography too!) and discovering where we can find God within the stories we read. Believing that our Creator is present in all things, we have found that when we look, we see.

Why not join us at our next meeting on Wednesday 25 November as we discuss There Are Rivers in the Sky by Elif Shafak, recommended by Sarah Tapp. We are delighted that Sarah hopes to join us for the discussion and share in the conversation.

We meet in the Prayer Room at The Dell from 10.30am for tea, coffee and perhaps even a biscuit or two! Discussion begins at 10.45am and finishes at 11.45am.

The book is readily available from Word on the Street and through the local library. If you are planning on joining, we suggest you pick up a copy soon. At more than 500 pages, you will need a little time to prepare.
